Today's computer navigation and control systems are complex. The best system in the world
is useless if the owner has not learned to use it. Today's operations manuals may total a thousand pages combined
for all the systems. All owners are thoroughly trained in actual offshore conditions on the operation and programming
of the equipment. During this shakedown cruise, lasting anywhere from 2 days to two weeks, all systems are debugged
and fine tuned. This minimizes owner frustration and maximizes owner satisfaction and safety with the equipment.
